We’ve developed an exciting UKREiiF programme in collaboration with our partners, aligned with the four pillars of our Building Our Future manifesto: Building for Productivity and Growth, Building More Homes, Building Stronger Town Centres, and Building the Green Economy.
Alongside this, we recently published our Plan for Growth progress report, which outlines the progress made to date and sets out the BPF’s key priorities for further action in 2025 and beyond.

BPF X Harworth: Planning for Employment Growth: The Devolution Agenda and the Future Review of the NPPF

Overview: With the Planning and Infrastructure Bill now published and a wider review of the NPPF anticipated this summer, the national planning policy reform agenda finds itself at a critical juncture for key employment sectors, such as logistics, manufacturing and engineering. Recent NPPF reforms have made strides in planning for these industries, but more progress is needed to fully unlock the sectors' potential in driving investment, job creation, and growth. How will the new, emerging spatial development strategies plan effectively for these vital employment uses? Will the upcoming review of the NPPF prioritise planning reforms that foster economic growth and job creation, or will housing continue to dominate the agenda?
