Title: CRM and Events Officer

The context: The British Property Federation is a membership organisation devoted to representing the interests of all those involved in property ownership and investment.

Job summary: The role of the CRM and Events Officer is to help provide excellent services to BPF’s members by:

  1. keeping member information current on the CRM system and providing support to the Head of Engagement on membership enquiries and client support/liaison.

  2. supporting the delivery of member events for the BPF, SPF and BPF Futures.

  3. supporting the external affairs team

CRM

• Manage and regularly update the CRM system to reflect contacts and organisation changes relating to members

• To work with the membership team to embed good practice across the organisation to ensure the CRM is up to date

• Supporting Directors and Head of Engagement (and others as required) to produce management information


Member events

• To work with the Head of Events on the preparation and execution of high quality digital and (when possible) physical events across the BPF, SPF and BPF Futures.

• Assist with the delivery of paid-for events that maximise income and BPF profile and arrange post-event reviews where required

• To work with the Head of Events to execute the marketing and sponsorship strategies in order to ensure each has the required attendance level

• To liaise with members, partners and suppliers on events, creating attendee lists, and ensuring timely briefings.

• To take responsibility for the logistics of our regional forums

• To arrange member meetings as required

• Generating some event management materials such as invitations, booklets/programmes, newsletters.


External affairs

• As part of a small external affairs and communications team, there may be other activities required by the Director of Strategy & External Affairs.

• Experience using a CRM system, ideally Dynamics 365

• The ability to work remotely/ from home

• Experience in events

• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Office location: Central London (SW1Y). We are currently working remotely

Membership and Engagement Officer

Title: Membership and Engagement Officer

Tenure: Full time - Permanent 

Reporting to: Head of Engagement

The context: The British Property Federation is a membership organisation devoted to representing the interests of all those involved in property ownership and investment. 

 We aim to create the conditions in which the real estate industry can grow and thrive, for the benefit of our members and of the economy as a whole. 

 This role will play an integral part in supporting the BPF’s mission to provide a first-class service to our members, understand their needs and work towards increasing our membership. 

Job summary: The role of the Membership and Events Officer is to help provide excellent services to BPF’s members by:

  1. assisting in membership management across the whole member lifecycle from recruitment to renewals, keeping member information current on the CRM system and providing support to the Head of Engagement on membership enquiries and client support/liaison. 

  2. supporting the production of membership marketing collateral and materials 

  3. supporting the Finance Manager to ensure that the annual fees renewal process runs smoothly and working with them to ensure any queries arising are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner. 

Membership
Retention / New Member engagement

• To support the Head of Engagement in maintaining and building the BPF’s membership

• To support the development of an account management approach to our membership and roll-out within the BPF/SPF and potentially managing a portfolio of members to account manage.

• To capture and act on feedback from members including to help deliver a membership survey, analyse and act upon feedback.

• To execute any new application requests; generating invoices, monitoring payment of subscriptions and administer membership benefits/records on the CRM – answering any member enquiries, where possible.

• To regularly update the CRM system to reflect contacts and organisation changes relating to members, where notified.

• To keep the committees’ waiting list updated and monitor waiting lists.

• To produce reports on membership renewals, engagement and financial reporting for members as required.

• To liaise with other BPF colleagues as required to respond to membership requests

• Deliver ‘MyBPF’ demonstrations when requested by a member organisation and support members on any enquiries.

• To be responsible for supporting and monitoring the on-boarding of new members and


Targeting

• To assist in identifying and researching new categories and/or new organisations to recruit into membership.

• To track new member enquiries – arranging meetings where necessary.


Membership Marketing collateral and materials

• To assist with the production of new membership marketing materials and collateral.

• To ensure the appropriate content is kept up to date on the website i.e. Membership Directory, Membership content and subscription fees.


Membership renewals and subscriptions

• Support the Finance Manager to ensure that invoices are correctly issued and that any queries from members are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.

• To assist in the follow-up of outstanding membership subscriptions.
