With the Planning and Infrastructure Bill now published and a wider review of the NPPF anticipated this summer, the national planning policy reform agenda finds itself at a critical juncture for key employment sectors, such as logistics, manufacturing and engineering. Recent NPPF reforms have made strides in planning for these industries, but more progress is needed to fully unlock the sectors' potential in driving investment, job creation, and growth.
How will the new, emerging spatial development strategies plan effectively for these vital employment uses? Will the upcoming review of the NPPF prioritise planning reforms that foster economic growth and job creation, or will housing continue to dominate the agenda?
Join Harworth and the British Property Federation for our policy seminar as we explore potential solutions for how we can align the planning reform agenda to support economic growth, job creation, and housing - all in the right locations.
Speakers:
- Sam Bensted, Assistant Director (Planning and Development), BPF (Chair)
- Robbie Calvert, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, RTPI
- Andrew Dickman, Managing Director, Tritax Big Box Developments
- Joanne Neville, National Planning Director, Harworth Group
