The future of town centres – and retail’s role in them – has been troubling policy makers for several years. Interventions have come and gone, but much remains to be done to properly repurpose and reinvent many locations. Property owners are investing in places where people want to be, but Government must do more to play its part to encourage and enable greater support for challenging places.
