The long-awaited Planning for the Future consultation has been published this week. We were promised a radical shake up of the planning system, and it is indeed, causing some heated debate already. The consultation seems to have tackled some of the issues the industry has long complained about and realises our ambition to simplify the system. The proposals are complex and revolutionary and deserve detailed and careful thought.
