On 31 October the BPF and Deloitte will be jointly hosting a webinar to discuss the changes to multi-occupancy building insurance that are being proposed by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in response to the concerns around costs of building insurance, paid by Leaseholders for multi-occupancy buildings.
The BPF and Deloitte’s specialist insurance and real estate teams will be providing a summary of the anticipated regulatory developments. These are expected to have potentially significant consequences for some members.
Details of the proposed rule changes are contained CP23/8: Multi-occupancy building insurance, with the consultation having ended in June 2023. Further details of the changes are contained in Deloitte’s recently released blog. The new rules are were published by the FCA on 29 September, with a short (3 month) implementation deadline.
