Our responses to the GLA and MHCLG's consultations on London housebuilding measures

Our responses to the GLA and MHCLG consultations welcomes the London housebuilding measures as a step in the right direction to improve scheme viability and accelerate housing delivery in London. However, we highlight that the proposals do not go far enough to address the capital’s structural viability challenges, including the short time-limited relief window, the exclusion of key housing models, barriers facing small-medium developers, and the limited scale of CIL relief. We'll continue to engage with MHCLG and the GLA to help refine the proposals so they deliver meaningful impact for London’s housing supply.
