BPF response to MHCLG's consultation on the Single Construction Regulator Prospectus

We’ve responded to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s consultation on the Single Construction Regulator Prospectus, supporting the ambition to create a more effective building safety system. Our response raises concerns about the lack of clarity around the proposed regulatory model and the risk that unnecessary structural change could undermine confidence. It also highlights the importance of ensuring the framework reflects the full lifecycle of buildings, recognising that many safety risks arise during occupation and management, not just construction.
