Powering the Future of Low-Carbon Heating
The BPF Heat Network Network is our new group for all things heat networks. Whether you're already involved in district heating or just starting to explore the possibilities, this network connects you with peers, insights, and the latest policy developments to help you stay ahead of the curve.
What’s a Heat Network?
Heat networks, also known as district or communal heating, deliver heating and hot water to multiple buildings from a single, central energy source. They're a key solution in reducing carbon emissions and transforming how we heat our homes and workplaces.
Why We Launched the Network
Big changes are coming. The UK Government is rolling out new regulations for heat suppliers and operators, including the introduction of Heat Network Zones. Within these zones, new and existing buildings will be required to connect to low-carbon heat networks.
That’s where we come in. We created this network to help the property sector prepare by sharing knowledge, shaping policy, and making sure you're ready for what’s next.
What the Network Does
- Raises awareness of upcoming regulations
- Connects members across the industry to share knowledge and best practice
- Supports research and sparks new ideas
- Shapes policy through collaborative advocacy and thought leadership
Who Can Join?
Membership is open to BPF, SPF, and UKPA members. If you're part of one of these organisations and have a stake in the future of low-carbon heating, this network is for you.
