BPF VAT Committee

The VAT Committee deals with technical VAT issues arising from buying, selling, letting, building and managing property. One of the committee's core objectives is to seek clarity from the Government on important areas of tax uncertainty that can complicate commercial transactions.

It also advocates for changes to tax legislation and  policy that would encourage or facilitate investment into UK property. The committee is made up of VAT and tax professionals from investor/developer businesses and private practice and engages closely with HM Revenue & Customs and HM Treasury as well as other industry and professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
