You're Invited!
Join us on 19 November to hear the latest about the Government’s plans for heat network regulation and what this means for investors, developers, and the wider real estate industry.
The heat network sector is undergoing a major transformation. The Energy Act 2023 introduced a new regulatory framework for heat networks, with Ofgem appointed as regulator. From January 2026, heat network operators and suppliers will need to be authorised by Ofgem and comply with consumer protection standards.
Over the last year, DESNZ and Ofgem have been consulting on consumer protections, with further consultations and responses expected on new minimum technical standards for heat networks (under the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme) and a zoning framework, where certain buildings within zones will be required to connect to a heat network.
If you want to understand how the Government’s plans will impact your business or your clients, then join us to find out the latest!
We are delighted that the event will take place at Trowers & Hamlins.
