A detailed online series of four structured briefings to include a case study of a distressed transaction. Lead speaker, Jon Bond, Partner, Banking & Finance, Charles Russell Speechlys and a team of front-line experts will cover the documentation that governs the relationships between developers and landowners, investors and lenders, tenants and purchasers, and contractors.
The series:
- The objective: in four detailed sessions we will ensure that developers, their solicitors, agents, investors, funders and all others engaged in development projects have a comprehensive understanding of:
- The structure of development financing
- Common negotiated terms in a development facility agreement – the full implications of the terms
- What to ensure is covered in the documentation
- Legal and technical importance of financial covenants, cost overruns and default scenarios
- The different procurement routes and forms of building contracts
- The importance of thorough and investigative due diligence
- The very many pitfalls and problems encountered along the way and strategies to avoid them
- How all the documentation fits together
- No important area will be overlooked – all interpretation will be practical and relevant to real world market conditions
- Sessions of 75 minutes each, including answers to questions from participants on the challenges they are facing and on the opportunities being created. Sessions start at 10.00am and run to 11.15am
